Returns & Exchange Policy

In Short

  • Items must be returned within 14 days of receiving your order, unused and in original packaging.
  • A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply to change-of-mind returns.
  • Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Custom and personalised cymbals are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.
  • Please complete the return submission form below before sending anything back.
  • Allow up to 7 business days for your return to be processed once received.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) apply in addition to this policy and cannot be excluded. See the Faulty Items section below for details.

Handmade Cymbals

Red Cymbals B20 cymbals are handmade, which gives each cymbal its unique character and tone. While we work hard to maintain consistency in appearance and sound, minor surface variations are a natural part of the handmaking process — particularly on raw or unlathed cymbals, where the bell or surface may show slight blotchiness or marks inherent to the raw metal. These are not defects; they are part of what makes each cymbal one of a kind.

If you are unsure whether a finish variation is within normal range, please contact us before initiating a return.

Returns & Exchanges

  • Complete the return form first. Please submit the Product Return Form below before sending anything back. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.
  • 14-day return window. Items must be returned within 14 days of receiving your order. Returns requested after this period cannot be accepted.
  • Original condition required. Items must be unused, show no signs of use (no stick marks, fingerprints, or scratches), and be returned in their original packaging. Items not meeting this standard may be refused or subject to a partial refund.
  • Restocking fee. A restocking fee of up to 20% of the original sale price may apply to change-of-mind returns where we are unable to re-sell the item as new.
  • One return per purchase. Returns and exchanges are available once per individual purchase.
  • Shipping. Return shipping is at the customer's expense. You must use a trackable shipping service and purchase insurance to cover the full value of the item(s). We are not liable for items lost or damaged in transit back to us. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Custom and personalised orders. Cymbals made to a custom specification or personalised order are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges. This does not affect your rights under the ACL for faulty goods.
  • Processing time. Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email within 7 business days. If approved, your refund or exchange will be processed promptly. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 3–5 business days to appear depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Sale price only. Refunds are based on the original purchase price at the time of sale, as shown on your receipt.

Order Information

Once your order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. If you have entered incorrect shipping details, please email us immediately at info@redcymbals.com and we will do our best to correct it before dispatch. We cannot guarantee changes can be made once an order is with the carrier.

Please note: product colours may vary slightly from photos due to lighting and monitor settings. This is particularly true for raw and unlathed finishes.

Faulty Items

We inspect all orders before dispatch. If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us at info@redcymbals.com within 7 days of receiving your order with photos and a description of the issue.

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy — repair, replacement, or refund — for goods that are faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described. These rights exist regardless of our change-of-mind policy and cannot be excluded. If the fault is major, you may choose a refund or replacement. If the fault is minor, we may choose to repair the item.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind or incorrect product selection where items have been used.

Cymbal Hard Case / Bag Warranty

Red Cymbals Hard Cases and Cymbal Bags carry a limited 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects when used as intended. We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, or for damage incurred when transporting cymbals via airline. We recommend taking out travel insurance when travelling domestically or internationally. Damage caused by airline mishandling should be directed to the airline and is not covered by this warranty.
