WHAT IS A RED ARTIST?

First, a note of clarity: we are not actively seeking applications for endorsements. We only consider drummers who genuinely reflect the ethos of Red Cymbals, meet the criteria outlined below, and demonstrate strong, consistent communication.

*Please take time to read the criteria carefully before applying.*

Important: If you do not meet the criteria, we kindly ask that you do not submit an application.

We are intentional about who we partner with. Our endorsees are drummers who value relationships above business. If your primary interest is simply in acquiring free or discounted cymbals, this program is not for you.

Becoming a Red Endorsee does not mean receiving free cymbals. The term “endorsee” means that you actively support and promote Red Cymbals, and in return, we provide artist pricing. To be clear, we do not “sponsor” drummers or bands, and we do not work through band managers. Endorsements are based on mutual partnership, not sponsorship.

As a general guideline, we do not endorse drummers under the age of 18. Instead, we offer the Red Ambassador Program – a space for younger drummers to be involved and supported until they’re ready to step into full endorsement.

Becoming a Red Artist represents a reciprocal relationship. We provide Red products (cymbals, sticks, bags, etc.) at agreed artist pricing (discounted from retail) because we believe in your potential to represent our brand well, increase visibility, and contribute to growth.

A Red Artist is expected to:

  • Represent our brand positively within the music industry.
  • Promote Red Cymbals through social media, live performances, and online presence.
  • Stay actively engaged with the drumming community.

In return, we will promote you, celebrate your success, and offer our ongoing support—because partnership at Red is about more than products; it’s about people.

HOW TO BECOME A RED ARTIST:

Before applying, please take the time to carefully read the criteria below and honestly assess whether you’re a good fit. Applications should only be submitted if you meet all of the listed requirements.

Our Criteria:

1. Be a Professional Drummer (18+)

Applicants must be full-time professional drummers. As a guideline, this typically includes performing 50+ live shows per year to audiences of 500+ people.
(Livestream viewership does not serve as an equivalent metric.)

2. Demonstrate Influence Within the Drumming and Music Industry

Applicants should have a recognised presence—through performing, touring, teaching, or creating educational content—and actively inspire, teach, or mentor other drummers.

3. Maintain Professionally Curated, Drumming-Focused Social Media Accounts

Artist social media accounts should be a professional account dedicated to drumming, with at least 95% of content centred on drumming-related material. Personal or unrelated posts should be kept to a minimum to uphold a consistent and professional brand image.

4. Maintain an Active and Positive Online Presence

Applicants must consistently engage on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, posting high-quality videos and photos while interacting positively with followers and the drumming community.

(At least 2–4 drumming-related posts per month)

5. Produce Drumming-Focused Content

Content should primarily include performances, lessons, gear demos, practice clips, or educational material that encourages drumming and skill development.

6. Meet Minimum Social Media Reach Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • 4,000+ followers on Instagram/TikTok
  • Strong engagement, generally averaging 600+ likes/views per post (or similar engagement indicators)

7. Bonus Considerations

While not required, the following will strengthen your application:

  • Running an active teaching studio or regularly posting instructional content
  • Already owning and using Red Cymbals gear and demonstrating knowledge of our products

Our Commitment

We aim to partner with artists who are passionate about their craft, aligned with our values, and eager to represent Red Cymbals with positivity, professionalism, and excellence. Applicants who meet the criteria above are encouraged to apply.

If You Don’t Meet the Criteria Yet

It may not be a “no,” but more of a “not yet.” Think of this as a milestone in your drumming journey. You can work toward it by:

  • Developing your content and online presence
  • Collaborating with other musicians
  • Entering competitions or showcases
  • Building consistency in your performances and reach

Endorsement shouldn’t be the starting point—it’s something that comes once you’ve laid the groundwork and built your influence.

We often hear promises like “I will…” once someone is endorsed. What matters most to us is what you’re already doing. We also value building genuine friendships with the people we work with — endorsement at Red is as much about relationship as it is about drumming.
